From new builds to home renovations, retail stores and commercial fitouts, I work with a range of clientele to create tailored and inviting spaces - ones that are not only practical and purposeful, but most importantly, capture the essence of the homeowner or business brand.
With 30 years of experience I have a rich knowledge of all aspects of design and project coordination and can assist with both interiors and exteriors. And whether you need an end-to-end service or guidance for a single space in your home - I’d be happy to help.
We've chosen to work with Terry for over 25-years. During that time he has completed three projects for us - exterior and interior design and commercial design of our business, Jamele Skincare.
Terry is incredibly easy to work with and takes the redecoration to another level. He always comes up with something that we haven't even thought of, taking it from ordinary to special.
Terry has the ability to see what appeals to you and then expand on it; he has access to many gorgeous pieces to compliment your existing furniture or arrange new. We are always thrilled to with the end result and will continue to work with Terry.

What types of interior design projects do you work on?
I work on residential and commercial interior design projects located in New Zealand. My services encompass new builds, renovations, retail spaces, hospitality venues and office interiors.
Do you only work in Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty?
While Terry Walsh Interiors is based in Tauranga, I work with clients throughout the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and across New Zealand. I travel for consultations and project work depending on the scope and location.
Do you have a particular interior design style? 

I am known for creating spaces that feel timeless, comfortable and refined rather than following short-term trends. I do not work to a signature look, as each project should reflect the client, the architecture and the way the space is lived in or used.
Can you help with both interiors and exteriors?
Yes, I can assist with both interior and exterior design decisions. This can include colour consulting and the selection and specification of materials, finishes, fixtures, and fittings. And any design decision that helps to create a more cohesive result across the whole property.
Can you help with one room, or do you only take on full projects?
Both. Some clients engage me for a full design service, and I’ll work closely with the builder and sub-trades through to completion, and even ensure furniture selections are well placed. Others want help with a single space such as a kitchen, bathroom, or living area. The level of support depends on what you need.
